General Info Agronomy

The Laboratory of Crop Production was among the first Laboratories founded in the Agricultural College of Athens (Royal Decree of 21 November 1920).

The objectives of the Laboratory of Crop production are teaching and research on field crops, namely: the study of  all factors affecting crop production (aerial environment, soil, plant genotype) and the development of the appropriate techniques for achieving high yields and better quality of the products. In addition, the detailed study of the biology and cultivation on specific field crops (cereals, legumes, industrial, aromatic and medicinal, and energy crops). The biology and control of weeds. The principles and technology of organic agriculture.
