Temperate cereals (general characteristics, wheat, barley, oats, rye, triticale): Taxonomy, origin and evolution, economic importance and uses, cultivation trends (in Greece and in the world), morphology, development and physiology, climatic and soil adaptation, cultivation zones, breeding trends (desirable traits, varieties and cultivars), cultivation techniques (rotation, soil cultivation, sowing, inorganic nutrition and fertilization, water requirements and irrigation, weed control, maturation and harvesting). Pests and diseases.
