Legumes (forage legumes, grain legumes): Taxonomy, origin and evolution, economic importance and uses, cultivation trends in Greece and globally, morphology, development and physiology, climatic and soil adaptation, cultivation techniques (rotation, soil cultivation, sowing, inorganic nutrition and fertilization, water requirements and irrigation, weed control, maturation and harvesting). Tropical legumes and legumes of Mediterranean origin. Main agronomic issues, pests and diseases.
