Arable Crops checks using Remote Sensing software under the Integrated Administration and Control System (IACS) 2006. Ministry of Rural Development and Food.

  • Precision and accuracy control of the Greek agricultural cadastral. Exporting qualitative and quantitative statistics of the errors in photo interpretation
  • Responsible for the photo-interpretation ‘keys’. Supervisor on the photo-interpretation procedure. Compilation of the deliverables including the statistic results

 

Remote sensing checks for the implementation of simplified plan payments based on area measurements under the Integrated Administration and Control System (IACS) of the Cyprus Agricultural Payments Organisation.

  • Precision and accuracy control of the Cypriot agricultural cadastral.  Exporting qualitative and quantitative statistics of the errors in photo interpretation
  • Tutor on the subject of photo interpretation. Responsible for the photo interpretation keys and the accuracy of each procedure

 

Infrastructure mapping in close proximity of olive groves in the area of Livadia for the improvement of sustainability

  • Survey focused on the traditional olive groves around the town of Livadia. Collaboration with the Local Union of Agricultural Cooperatives
  • Responsible for the compilation of a questionnaire for farmers and local authorities. In-situ measurements and mapping (via GIS and Remote Sensing) of special point of interest for the improvement of sustainability. Fully responsible for the supervision of the proposed actions

Topo-climatic survey and results evaluation for the development of the mountainous area of Naypaktia in Greece. (Laboratory of General and Agricultural Meteorology)

  • Mapping of the topoclimatic conditions of Naypaktia Mountains for the local area tourism development. Special attention on the human thermal comfort as a benefit for the strengthening of the local income from tourism activities
  • Responsible for the survey plan and equipment management. Environmental analysis and implementation of the project deliverable reports

 

Landscape design of the Athens Concert Hall for the improvement of the aesthetic and environmental regional conditions. (Collaboration with the Laboratory of General and Agricultural Meteorology & Laboratory of Floriculture and Landscape Architecture)

  • Landscape approximation including aesthetic and environmental criteria. In-situ measurements and adjustment of the design for regional bioclimatic conditions improvement
  • Responsible for the survey plan, measurements sampling, equipment, spatial analysis of the micrometeorological conditions and drafting of landscape proposals

 

Investigation of the thermo-hydrometrical conditions of the St. Anne and Petros Rallis parks for an effective urban planning (Collaboration with the General and Agricultural Meteorology & Lab of Floriculture and Landscape Architecture)

  • In-situ meteorological measurements inside and around the urban parks. Effects analysis of the urban green in regional scale. Conclusions and implementation in urban planning
