Course: Biostatistics


The course provides advance knowledge about experimental designs and data analysis

Course description:

  •  Critical review of basic principles of Biostatistics.
  •   Introduction to statistical software for data analysis and Interpretation
  • Parametric and non parametric tests for a population mean, proportion or variance and for comparing two population means, proportions or variances.
  • Chi-Square test of independence.
  • Analysis of variance and multiple comparisons tests.
  • Regression analysis (simple linear regression and correlation, multiple regression, non linear regression).
  • Analysis of Covariance.
  • Multivariate methods (Principal Component analysis, Discriminant analysis, Cluster analysis).
  • Quality control and Sampling methods.
