Course description:
1. Introduction. Plant types. General structure of vascular plants. Plant growth and development. Media for propagating nursery plants. Pre-planting media treatments.
2. Sexual propagation of fruit trees (the development of fruits and seeds, seed dormancy and germination).
3. Asexual propagation of fruit trees (techniques of propagation by cuttings, layering, grafting and budding).
4. Aseptic methods of micropropagation. Propagating structures. Nursery management.
