Definitions and objectives of farm management.  Farm characteristics (definitions, production branches, farm types, size and organisation).  Farm budgeting (basic terms, nature of expenses).  Methods of budgeting.  Applications to farm production. Farm operation analysis (analysis of farm groups, isolated production factors and the use of agricultural machinery and manual labour). Methods of decision making in agricultural production (partial and total budgets).
